MILAN - Ergonomics leader Humanscale’s latest designs will be featured in award-winning French architect Jean Nouvel’s “Project: Office for Living” which will debut at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2013 during the Milan Furniture Fair. Specially conceived for the Milan Fair, the exhibit will be set out over a 1,200-m2 space inside the SaloneUfficio pavilions. Nouvel’s exhibition features different scenarios that convey his vision of the modern workspace, including mobility, conviviality, pleasure, fun, a rejection of cloned spaces and enclosed spaces and the serial repetitiveness that so often characterises offices and their totalitarian nature. “In 30 or 40 years time, we will be stunned to see just how unlivable most of today’s offices really were,” says Jean Nouvel.

Humanscale’s award-winning Diffrient World® chair and the iconic Horizon™ LED task light are among the featured products in Nouvel’s exhibit. Nouvel selected products that showcase new materials and technologies which create comfortable, user-friendly, ecologically aware work environments. The Diffrient World chair delivers Humanscale’s clean, timeless aesthetic in a task chair that embodies simplicity and performance. The Horizon LED task light, which has already received 20 prestigious design awards, embraces the fast-paced evolution of LEDs with its revolutionary Thin Film LED Technology and its smart dimming functionality.
